Camping trips provide a good opportunity of experiencing nature and spending time outdoors. Most people who love nature go on them, but we have some family friends who kept telling us how much they hated nature, yet each year they went on several camping trips that lasted for several days.
You might be wondering why, and frankly, so were we. They just shrugged their shoulders when we asked them why they continued going if they hated it so much. We also asked them if we could join them, on special occasions, and see if we can’t make it more fun for them. A simple “no” was all we got from them.
Once, when we were shopping together, I saw them buying a big tent, explaining to me that a good tent is crucial to have, when going camping. When I pointed out that it was very big, and probably heavy, and surely a smaller tent would have sufficed, they just laughed. Knowing they’ve went on so many camping trips, I figured they knew what they were doing.
It turns out they did know what they were doing, as I found out on the next night. They were supposed to leave on one of their camping trips, but I heard them making noise in the hallway. A quick look showed me they were going to the top of the building, instead of exiting it.
Deciding to see where they were going, I followed them to the roof. They had everything set up there, including the large tent, [a collection of magazines, and a zune 8gb
You should have seen their reaction. They both froze and then started laughing their eyes out, as was I. They told me how this was “their” spot and how relaxing it was. We agreed to share it, and now, on special occasions, two large tents can be seen on top of our building.

Theatres are the place where the thrill of story telling begins. They house the stage or screen where the patrons will be swept away in a world of imagination. Visiting these arenas has been a pastime of humans in nearly every recorded civilization.
Beginning in ancient times, there were outdoor stages. The comedies and tragedies of the day took place in the form of rudimentary plays. Entertainment was as much a custom in those cultures as it is today. Evidence of attending a type of playhouse can be found in ancient Asian, Egyptian and Greek civilizations to name a few.
In modern culture, the entertainment industry has gone from an outdoor arena to playhouses all over the city. Live shows are performed in these halls. The shows can be simple sets with a few actors to mechanical props and musical numbers. Small towns may just have one playhouse where a big city can have a hundred or more such auditoriums.
The stage productions are even broken down a bit further by buildings. There are playhouses that just run children’s shows. Some auditoriums have shows that spotlight a particular race or sexual preference. Even the outdoor variety still exists in amphitheaters.
When the performances went from live to filmed, the newest type of theater was built. The movie houses are a part of modern culture. It is a special event for families, couples, and friends. Many a first date has taken place by going to the movies. Even when movies can be seen in the comfort of home, they are first shown on the big screen. In more populated cities, the movie houses have more than twenty screens running simultaneously.
These arenas are also divided into categories. One movie house may only show films for kids while another may limit the films another way. The outdoor version is represented in the drive-in theater where movies are watched from the car. Another specialized cinema shows movies that have had a first run at the main places, but aren’t available for home viewing yet. These places charge a fraction of the normal price of movies.
As varied as the performances may be, so is the stage set up. One of the more popular arrangements is “stadium seating” where the floor slopes up so that everyone can see the stage. The placement of the stage for live shows can be different as well. The more popular version has the patrons facing the stage with an area behind it, called backstage. There are also stages in the middle, like an island, with seating all around it.
Watching stories being told on stage and screen is a precious part of cultures ancient and modern. Theatres have been around as long as the art. The locations, topics, and arrangement may change, but the entertainment remains. The societies of the future will be watching from their version of movie or playhouse as well.

Are you a person that truly loves their automobile? Are you the type that just cannot wait for the next opportunity to put the top down, turn up the radio, and hit the nearest route for a nice long drive? Then you will understand the appeal of a slightly smaller version of those joys, that of collecting diecast models scale cars .
These miniature and scale versions of the real thing are actually quite beautiful and artfully made. They are true works of art in which oftentimes the parts are actually functional! They sport the same engines, interiors, and paint motifs as the actual versions they look like, and are quite fascinating in their own way.
What is the best you can do this fascination? Why not share others who also feel this feeling? One fantastic way to start is by taking up the practice of photographing you toys. Put them in life like scenes, or make a pictograph of you building or restoring one. Just gather up some interesting and fun photos and post them online for your buddies to check out. Maybe you can create a space where they can post their pictures as well.
Better than just showing off pictures, how about a real meet and greet in your backyard or something? Make it a car club, but for little cars! Find a place you can meet, set up the tables and chairs, leave plenty of room to work on your hobby and help each other out, and you have got yourself a fraternal organization!
Hey, if you can hook up with other little car clubs, then why not join forces and put on an actual car show? Put it on just like the big ones at the fairgrounds, except you will not need near as much space. But you can sure enough have as much fun. Give away prizes for the finest and fanciest, set up a swap meet area for trades and sales, and try to make it as professional as the commercial gigs. This is a sure fire hit.
Now that you have club meeting and car shows and pictures to share, why not roll of this information up into one nice package with a newsletter? Here the pictures are in it, the club news, the show dates and times, want ads, and anything else deemed necessary for the enthusiasts in your circle. Everybody likes to stay in touch and know what is going on, and this is a great way to provide those services.
Finally then, when the fun and frolic is over, where do you go next? Home is usually on the minds of many, and what about home for your collectibles? Here may be the very best idea yet: either buy or build a nice, safe, garage for the little guys. Get a display case to store them in, keep them safe, keep them clean, and keep them in view. Every good hobby needs an audience, and yours can be on permanent display.

Trim, shapely nails on cared-for hands and feet make an instant impression. In summer, when your hands and feet are visible to the world, you should get a manicure and pedicure at a salon for perfect hands and feet that will impress. Men can get a manicure too, for clean, neat and well trimmed nails and softer skin.
There is a lot more to a manicure and pedicure than just filing your nails and adding a coat or two of polish. Most treatments will include exfoliating the skin to remove dead cells, smoothing the surface and stimulating regeneration. Calluses and dead skin are removed from the feet with pumice, which not only makes your feet look much better – it makes them feel much better too. Many aches and pains in feet result from standing on calluses and uneven areas all day.
Moisturisers and special products to treat cuticles are massaged into the hand, arm, foot and lower leg, hydrating them and stimulating blood flow. The massage can also help to relieve aches and pains from arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome, and is very relaxing.
Manicurists are trained to recognise nail diseases and disorders such as fungal diseases, and can help you treat them by recommending over the counter products you can use, or advise you that you need to seek medical attention. Some nail diseases may result in the manicurist being unable to provide your treatment, as some diseases are highly infectious.
After your massage, work will commence on your nails. Cuticles will be trimmed, nails cleaned, buffed, trimmed and shaped. If required, the manicurist will then apply polish. You can bring your own polish in your favourite colour, or choose from the selection at the salon. Usually four coats are applied, a base coat, two colour coats and a top coat. Often a treatment will be applied after the top coat to condition the cuticles and nails.
With normal wear and tear, you can expect a manicure to last 2 to 3 weeks and a pedicure for up to 5 weeks. Although you may feel that it is an added expense for something you can do yourself, the additional attention to detail and extra treatments that a salon offers not only makes your nails look super, it improves the appearance of your hands and feet as well. You will be proud of your hands and feet, showing them off at every opportunity.
Many people will only have a manicure and pedicure at a salon for special occasions such as weddings or special events and before going on holiday. Some salons offer a mobile manicure and pedicure service, where the manicurist will come to your home or office to perform the treatments, bringing their equipment with them. This saves you the additional travel time, parking concerns and rushing through traffic afterwards. It’s also particularly useful if, as for a wedding, you need to avoid chips or breaks at all costs. Cars are notoriously unfriendly to newly manicured nails.
Treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure, regularly if your budget allows, or every now and then as a luxury. It is extremely relaxing, and you don’t have to worry about the cat bumping into you or the kids needing something just as you apply the last coat of polish. You can sit back, relax and be pampered, knowing that you will have beautiful hands and feet when it’s all done.

Horror movies in general are one of the most popular genres around. Zombie movies are a huge part of this popularity as a sub-genre. These films have been popular for a very long time, providing audiences with thrills and chills for decades. For both casual and hardcore fans, familiarize yourself with some of the more popular films of both classic and recent times.
These films have been successfully scaring audiences for decades. You will find zombies to be an interesting and prevalent part of our popular culture, taking many different forms and tackling many ideas. Typically, these zombies come in two forms, the reanimated corpse and the mindless living human. Some films depict them as slow and posing the greatest threat in large numbers, while others show them to be fast, agile, and psychotic flesh-eaters.
Although opinions are going to differ regarding which zombie films are the best, and what exactly makes a film great, there is a general consensus about many movies. Perhaps the most popular example of the genre is the 1968 black and white independent film called “Night of the Living Dead”. Widely considered the pioneering face of the genre, the movie was directed by George Romero. This movie served to revolutionized what the public’s view of zombie films should be.
In 1978, George Romero would release the second movie in the “Living Dead” series. This film, titled “Dawn of the Dead”, is an undeniable classic that has inspired countless imitations. Largely popular through its supposed critiquing of consumerism, as well as being a great character piece, this film explores the plight of a group of survivors who seek shelter inside a shopping mall.
Building upon the formula set forth by the classics, there are many modern films that hold special attention. One of these is the 2003 release of “Shaun of the Dead”. This movie is a satirical, comedic horror film that is unique in this niche. However, most people consider the film as one of the most entertaining zombie movies of all time, combining gore, horror, and interesting characters to pilot a new take on the medium.
The classic “Dawn of the Dead” film, by George Romero, was recently remade in 2004. Although it follows closely the formula of its predecessor, the film is considered to be a stylish and modern remake that pays tribute to the original while updating the genre. Like the original, it follows the plight of a group of survivors and their effort to survive a zombie apocalypse through hiding inside a mall.
Another recent film, dubbed an instant classic, is directed by Danny Boyle and released in 2002 with the title “28 Days Later”. This film, considered a commercial and critical success, focuses on the breakdown of society and social structures through an accidental spreading of a virus. Ravenous, insane zombies provide thrills while scenes of vacant cities provide a gloomy outlook on the future.
People love to be scared, and the zombie movie genre is a prime candidate to provide those thrills. Basic in their formula, yet open to new ideas and artistic expression, directors and writers are constantly revolutionizing the industry. A large fan base and an exciting platform guarantees that this film niche will be around for quite some time.

If you have short nails and struggle to grow them, you may have investigated the various types of false nails available at salons. Because your hands are on show all day, you want long, attractive nails. Natural-looking gel nails may be just what you need. They can give you longer nails, and protect your natural nails long enough for them to grow out.
A pre-mixed polymer and monomer gel is used to apply gel nails. This mixture is odourless, which makes the application process less onerous for you and the technician applying them. The gel application does not need all the filling that acrylic nails require, so it takes a lot less time to apply gel nails. Once the gel is applied, it will need to be cured. This can either be done under UV lights, with a spray or brush-on activator, or even just dipping the nails in water, depending on the type of gel used. The UV light process takes a little longer than the other methods, but there is no difference in the curing effectiveness.
Gel nails look and feel more natural than acrylic nails because they are thin, clear and flexible. They don’t go yellow, and they do not lift as easily as acrylic nails do, Because they are glossier than other false nails, gel nails look great even without the benefit of polish – which can be applied to the gel nails as well. You can have a French manicure or nail art applied to gel nails as well.
The biggest advantage of having gel nails applied over other types of false nails is that they do not damage the underlying nail. Most women wanting false nails find it difficult to grow their own nails, or they have nails that grow in awkward shapes. You can choose your preferred length and have the gel nails applied by a professional in a salon quickly and easily. Although home kits are available, it is quite a difficult to procedure to carry out by yourself.
You can use gel nails to enhance your natural nails until they grow. Although they are said to last for less time than acrylic nails and may be a little more pricey, the lack of nail damage makes up for it. Acrylic nails can do so much damage to your natural nails that you cannot grow them out and find that you have to repeatedly apply acrylic nails to hide your damaged ones. Gel nails are more of an enhancement than a replacement for your real nails, unlike other types of false nails.
Your hands are constantly exposed to the world, and long, neatly polished and manicured nails make your hands look professional as well as beautiful. It is not easy to grow your own nails, look after them and keep them looking good. Gel nails can help protect your natural nails, allowing them to grow out strong and healthy, while your hands still look elegant and attractive. You can lengthen short nails without waiting months for them to grow – provided they haven’t broken in the meantime- and strengthen weak nails with a protective layer. The biggest advantage of gel nails is that they cause no damage to your nails, and they look natural too.

Widely known as the Cradle of Liberty, Boston is indeed a special place in the eyes of millions of visitors every year, transcending its reputation as a historic cultural and financial centre in New England and America. Combining the stately charm of its historical landmarks and iconic universities with the energy and dynamism of the sporting and arts scene here, Boston possesses an unrivalled allure for any visitor.
For those of you who are hoping to experience this wonderful city but have only a limited budget, you will be delighted to know that there are cheap Boston hotels available throughout the city that makes it accessible to budget travelers despite its prestigious reputation.
When you step into the budget hotels in Boston, do expect to feel a certain warmth and coziness embodied by old-school design and furnishings that could be absent in many luxury hotels. Your guest experience is not compromised either, as these hotels generally provide the basic amenities which are enough to make you comfortable and feel rejuvenated after a long day exploring the city. All at an affordable price, great value and mostly convenient location that can save you more money to enjoy all that the city has to offer.
Something that you would have to take into consideration before booking your hotel in Boston is the timing of your visit. This is because during major events and festivals such as Patriot’s Day, Boston Marathon and Independence Day celebrations, and in September when the autumn foliage becomes an attraction in itself, the hotels near the downtown area in particular fill up very quickly and could leave you with fewer choices. The same can be said of the graduation weekend at the end of May as there are a good number of universities in the city.
Hence, booking your hotel in advance should be your priority if you wish to visit Boston during these periods and enjoy great deals at the same time. While you may still have options available if you book later, you may have to settle for hotels outside the city, which would translate into extra travelling time and costs.
One main advantage of Boston is that it is a relatively small city, which makes it easier to explore the various attractions within walking distance of each other. This is why the downtown and Back Bay areas are especially recommended if you would prefer to be located close to these sights. You would be surprised by the diverse types of budget accommodation such as bed and breakfasts, motels and mid-ranged hotels near the city centre which allow you to pick something that suits your tastes and budget.
For business travelers, I especially recommend the downtown area, also known as the financial district, as there are numerous accommodations and business facilities specifically catered to the needs of busy executives.
Leisure travelers will find the downtown and Back Bay easily accessible to all the historical attractions which they wish to see, as well as a host of dining, shopping and entertainment options. On top of it, both downtown and Back Bay boast great connectivity as the subway and trolley lines are highly concentrated here, making it easier to get to any attraction that you choose.
For incredible deals on cheap Boston accommodation, try Chan Brothers Hotel Portal for a great selection of accommodation as well as a hassle-free reservation process. You can also enjoy instant confirmation of your reservation.

Paying a visit to Hong Kong, one of the world’s most prosperous territories? You may wonder whether it is possible to find hotels in Hong Kong that provide competent service, comfortable guest rooms, great on-site amenities and easy access to the diverse tourist hotspots and business facilities of this bustling and exciting city. All for a reasonable price that will not burn a hole in your wallet. The answer is yes.
Even though it could be expensive to get by in Hong Kong, especially since it is renowned for being a shopping paradise, there are hotels available in the different districts which suit different budgets and tastes. A good hotel would allow you to recharge after an exhausting day and enhance your enjoyment of the city and its many offerings. Hence I shall shed some light about hotels in different districts which are value for money with great facilities and accessible locations that are nearby the various attractions and amenities that this vibrant city is known for.
Good Value Accommodation Which Costs Less Than in Other Major Cities
Generally, it is not difficult to find low-cost accommodation in Hong Kong if you know where to look, especially if you are not particular about room size. This is because a room at a four-star hotel in Hong Kong usually costs less than an equivalent one in other cities. However, this room is likely to be smaller than what you may be accustomed to in Western cities and you may have to pay an additional charge to upgrade to a larger one. Nonetheless, you would be able to find a hotel in various districts that can easily fit into any price range.
Kowloon and New Territories – Recommended For Travelers on a Budget
Kowloon and the New Territories are generally recommended districts for budget travelers looking for a comfortable and affordable hotel during their stay in Hong Kong. Kowloon, especially, is recommended for its relatively low hotel rates and being situated in a centrally-accessible area which is well-served by Hong Kong’s transportation network. You can also easily access major shopping areas from here. This is also an area where authentic local sights and sounds await, allowing you to experience the “real” Hong Kong. You should however be careful when doing your booking by making sure that you are not checking into one of the many hostels in the area instead.
Hong Kong Island – Luxury Accommodation with a View and Various Amenities
If you have a larger hotel budget, you can indulge in the comforts of a luxury hotel which is likely to be found on Hong Kong Island. Here, you are only a short distance away from well-known sights such as Ocean Park and Victoria Harbour as well as large shopping centres and the state-of-the art Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), which is ideal for both leisure and business travelers.
Easy Access to Other Parts of Hong Kong by Taking Public Transport
Wherever you choose to stay in Hong Kong, you can also enjoy easy access to other parts of the territory by utilizing the extensive and convenient transport networks that include the MTR (Mass Transit System), tramways, buses and ferry services.
I shall now recommend a hotel portal where you can place online bookings for hotels in Hong Kong at competitive rates – Chan Brothers Hotel Portal. This hotel portal enables you to efficiently narrow down to the hotel that best fits your budget and needs. Moreover, it uses a simple and hassle-free interface that allows for instant confirmation of your booking.
